LITTLE HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH MUSIC
In some of today’s Churches there are two distinctly different services, with the differences being primarily in the style of music. There's a contemporary service that features what we've come to call "praise and worship" music, and there's a traditional service that features mostly hymns. Here at Little Hope Baptist I try to have both “styles” included in the same service, sung right out of the new Baptist Hymnal. I don’t want anyone to think that one is better than the other; after all we are not competing within the service whether we sing Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, or Awesome God, and Shout to the Lord. It is all sung to Worship and Praise the Lord. The important thing is just to Praise the Lord for He is indeed worthy to be praised. Psalms 22: 3 says, But thou art Holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel (KJV.) So, since God dwells, lives in, or is enthroned in the praises of His people, why wouldn’t we want to please Him with our Praise. Psalms 66; 1-2 says to. 1Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: 2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious (KJV.)
So, let’s worship Him with all our voices and all our instruments and Praise Him for what He has done for us.
